Music Style

Dirt Road Highway is an exciting country and rock cover band based in Toronto that travels throughout Ontario.

Featured as a trio, DRH offers clients a great mix of classic and new country and rock favorites with sing along songs by Luke Combs, Jonny Cash, Neil Diamond, The Eagles, Kenny Rogers, John Denver, Bryan Adams.

Specific to DRH, our sound tends to have a heavier rock sound rather than the origins of folk or rockabilly. Current notable artists with this sound would be Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Luke Combs, Rhett Akins, Canaan Smith, or The Road Hammers.

Josh Gordon

Lead Guitar, Background Vocals, Lead Vocals

Josh Gordon is a Toronto based professional guitarist.  By age 17 he completed the Grade 8 level and Grade 2 theory studies on piano via the Royal Conservatory of Music program.  He then began playing the guitar professionally around the Toronto bar scene.  During his 25 plus year career, he has opened for Canadian icons such as Jeff Healey, David Wilcox, and Wild T & the Spirit.  From 2015 - 2020 Josh toured across Canada and the United States with Bob Seger tribute act Against the Wind.

He now performs around Toronto and throughout Ontario with country-rock trio Dirt Road Highway.  Josh also substitutes with another Bob Seger tribute act Forever Seger in Canada and the USA.

Josh has had the pleasure of sharing the stage or recording with many JUNO and Maple Blues Award winners/nominees such as:  Robin Boers (Ugly Ducklings), Travis Colby (Roomful of Blues), Jack de Keyzer (Ronnie Hawkins, Robert Gordon), Michael Fonfara (Rhinoceros, Downchild Blues Band), Alec Fraser Jr. (Jeff Healey), James Gray (Blue Rodeo), Gary Kendall (Downchild Blues Band),  Al Lerman (Fathead), Danny Marks (Edward Bear), Johnny Max Band, David McMorrow (Rough Trade), Stan Miczek (Sass Jordan, Honeymoon Suite), Peter Nunn (Honeymoon Suite, Gowan), Steve Pelletier (Colin James), Mitch Starkman (Zappacosta, Belinda Metz), Gary Storin (The Stampeders).

Anthony Terminesi

Drums, Lead Vocals, Background Vocals

Anthony is a Toronto based professional drummer and has been playing professionally around the Toronto and Ontario music scene for over 30 years. He was classically trained in percussion and is self-taught on guitar, piano and vocals. It was with Dirt Road Highway where he developed his skill as primary lead vocals.

During his music career he has played for notorious local rock bands like Audio Taxi, Skrou, Sonic Hollywood Zoo. In the country genre he has played with Southern Belle, County Line and Dirt Road Highway.

He has played a variety of small and large stages and opened for Honeymoon Suite, Goddo, Washboard Union and Buck Cherry.

Steven Karst

Bass, Background Vocals, Lead Vocals

Steven is a Toronto based professional bassist and has been playing music since the age of 6. He was classically trained in piano, trombone, and voice. His dad taught him to play guitar as a child. Steven picked up the bass in 2006 to fill gaps in various groups as bass players were in short supply and bass has been his primary instrument ever since.

As a trombonist, he has played with the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra, Guam Territorial Jazz Band and various trombone choirs and toured internationally. With voice, he sang with the Guam Opera Company and the Die Meistersinger men's chorus, touring internationally and sang with multiple gospel quartets in Ontario, Tennessee, and Georgia.

On bass he played professionally in the Chattanooga Tennessee praise band circuit for multiple churches, each requiring different music styles ranging from rock and gospel to jazz. He has opened for T. Broussard and Midnight Star and played for Amber Fultz (Folk), The Shape (Metal), Joel Brett Warren (Blues) and Dirt Road Highway (Country) and in spattering of cover band projects in Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Tennessee.
